Cantine Innocenti, Rosso di Montepulciano 2019

Cantine Innocenti are about as traditional an Italian winery as it's possible to get. With their cellars in the medieval town of Montefollonico dating back to the 13th Century, the team at Cantine Innocenti have tradition and authentic Tuscan winemaking at the forefront of everything they do. Rosso di Montepulciano 2019 is mainly made from Sangiovese with a little Canaiolo and Sciaccarello (Mammolo). It has an intense ruby colour and an equally intense nose of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a savoury-leathery aroma. The medium-bodied palate has a good level of acidity, soft tannins and great all-round balance, making it super versatile for food pairings, particularly gamey dishes.
