Can Feixes, Blanc Seleccio 2022

The historic Can Feixes estate dates its winemaking roots back to the 1500s. Nestled in an incomparable setting on the slopes of the mountains north of the Upper Penedès wine region of Barcelona. It forms an ecological environment where the different crops and the varied vegetation interact completely in a perfect symbiosis between the cultivated and wild, thus reflecting the best expression of biodiversity in agriculture. Blanc Seleccio 2022 is made from an interesting blend of Parellada, Macabeo (Viura), Xarel·lo, Chardonnay and Malvasía. All the grapes were hand-harvested, taken from organic vineyards, and aged in stainless steel to retain freshness in the wine. Expressive on the nose with aromas of green apple, peach, pear, citrus and stone. The palate is equal parts dry, refreshing and elegant, with more fruity flavours and good level of acidity to balance. A real hidden gem and one which pairs best with seafood but also at home as an aperitif.
