Talenti, Brunello di Montalcino 2017

The Talenti estate is located south of Montalcino, close to the small medieval village of San Angelo in Colle. Now headed up by Riccardo Talenti, who runs the winery, Talenti are at the forefront of research to live with climate change, whilst keeping the utmost respect for tradition, working with the very same passion and determination as the generations before them. Brunello di Montalcino 2017 has a typical Sangiovese character that slides generously out of the glass with aromas of cherries, leather and chocolate, reminding us why Brunello gets the pulse racing quite so much. A top quality wine with intense and powerful flavours of dark berry fruits, liquorice and subtle vanilla and floral notes, it is full-bodied yet soft and velvety. Drinking well now, but will continue to develop over the next 10 years.
