Matetic, Corralillo Riesling 2023

Matetic are one of Chile's pioneers of biodynamic & organic winemaking, believing that farming with an acknowledgement of all the fauna & flora surrounding and inhabiting their vineyards benefits the wine - something we definitely agree with. Their vineyards in the Rosario Valley are located on the central coast of Chile, nestled between the wilds of the Pacific Ocean and heights of the Coastal Mountains; the ideal conditions to produce both red & white wines with incredible freshness, vibrancy and precision. Corralillo Riesling 2023 is taken from the Santo Tomás vineyard, located in the Lagunillas sector of the Casablanca Valley; benefiting from all the cooling, salty influence from the Pacific. The grapes were hand-harvested and left on their fine lees for 6 months to increase texture and complexity in the wine. A nose of green apple, lime zest, lemon and honey. The palate is refreshing with more floral notes and mineral finish. A great wine to pair with lighter seafood dishes.
