Georgiev & Milkov, Pét-Nat Funky Mavrud Rosé 2023

In 2014 Petar Georgiev and Radostin Milkov started their own project after gaining enough experience in various places around the world including the USA, New Zealand, China, Austria and Malta. The two friends began working on the Bulgarian stage bringing in a bunch of fresh ideas, deciding it was high time that local varieties like Мavrud and Rubin should get the attention they deserve both by the wide public and the wine experts - and we're all for it. Pét-Nat Funky Mavrud Rosé 2023 is a cracking Pet-Nat from 100% Mavrud, which is kind of like Bulgaria's answer to Syrah. Very light pink colour, cloudy appearance. Pronounced fruit aromas of raspberries, strawberries and fresh herbs. Lightly sparkling, elegant, with great freshness, light to medium bodied with intense notes of red fruits and fresh long finish. Perfect as an aperitif or paired with seafood.
