Fontanassa, Ca'Adua Gavi 2023

With a history of winemaking going back to 1634, Fontanassa is one of Gavi's most historic wineries. With south-facing slopes located in the heart of Rovereto di Gavi, they occupy one of the best sites in the DOCG for producing exceptional white wine. The Gemme family bought the winery back in 1921, and its now into its third generation of family ownership. Ca Adua Gavi 2023 is made from 100% Cortese and is a straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections. The nose has bright aromas of citrus and grapefruit along with a really fresh note of cut grass and white flowers. The palate is dry and refreshing, with a good acidity and persistent, mineral finish. An awesome wine to pair with soft cheeses or clams.
