Cortese is a famous white grape from Piedmont in Northern Italy, where it’s used to make the famous Cortese di Gavi, or Gavi di Gavi, wine. Cortese is distinguished by a crisp, bracingly fresh taste, accompanied with plenty of peach, almond and honeydew flavours too. Perfect for a summer’s day and not one to miss.
