Egon Müller, Scharzhof Riesling 2020

The Egon Müller estate has been in the hands of the Müller family since 1797. In the Mosel’s steep, slate vineyards, the winemaking master Egon Müller makes breathtaking Rieslings. The estate owns 8.3 of the 28 hectares of the famous Scharzhofberg vineyard in Germany’s Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region. The family is ranked among the region’s top wine producers who make their wine from arguably Germany's greatest "Grand Cru" Riesling vineyard. And Scharzhof Riesling 2020 is taken from that exact vineyard. An utterly, impressively complete wine with white and yellow peach, ripe gooseberry and fresh mint aromas. Off-dry, succulent and vibrant with a very long, clean, minty finish; it's drinking incredibly well now but will keep and continue to develop for many years to come.
