Cossetti, La Vigna Vecchia Barbera d'Asti 2021

Clementina Cossetti is now the fifth generation Cossetti to produce exceptional wine from her family's estate in Piedmont, northern Italy. Clemintina's philosophy is based on traditional winemaking, where she strives to capture a pure expression of the land her family has been cultivating for over 130 years. La Vigna Vecchia 2021 is made using 100% Barbera from the Asti region of Piedmont. It is intensely ruby in colour and equally intense on the nose with aromas of red cherry, juicy plums, vanilla and an unmistakable smoky-peppery flavour. It's very well structured on the palate, culminating in a very long, rich finish. This is a stunning food wine and will go really well with a gamey ragù.
