Barbera

Flag of Italy

Barbera is native to Piedmont in Northern Italy. Although considered the second-grape to the more prestigious Nebbiolo, Barbera offers incredibly nuanced herbaceous and spicy notes, and can present real value for money. Long considered a perfect food wine and Piedmont’s “wine of the people”, Barbera is best enjoyed with rich, herby pizza or pasta.
