The name Brunilde di Menzione is synonymous in southern Italy as a producer of exceptional wines using only local, indigenous grape varieties. For lovers of bigger, bolder wines - this is a producer to look out for. Salice Salentino Riserva 2023 is a gorgeously powerful, fruit-driven red made from 100% Negroamaro taken from the storied appellation of Salice Salentino. The grapes were harvested and aged in barrel for 10 month prior to release. A nose of ripe cherry, black plum and juicy raspberry leads to a smooth, velvety palate with further fruity flavours and a lightly oaked finish. A knockout with all kinds of red meat or mature cheeses.
