Al-Cantara, Luci Luci 2018

Although Al Cantàra is based in Sicily, the name means "bridge" in Arabic which emphasises the union between Sicily and the island's love of art, poetry and, most importantly, wine. Owner Pucci Giuffrida is a devotee of fine poetry and for this reason all of the names of the wines are inspired by the poems by Sicilian authors. Luci Luci 2018 is made from 100% Carricante and has the classic aromatic notes of white flowers, apple blossom and honey. On the palate, juicy tropical flavours of mango and papaya are accompanied by a distinctive mineral overtone. Refreshing, crisp and with a lovely, spicy finish; it's a great pair with crab.
