Furmint

Image of Furmint

Furmint is a white Hungarian grape, which is used in the production of the world-renowned Tokaj dessert wine, famously enjoyed by emperors and the royal court of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In fact, records mentioning the wine date as far back as the year 1100. A very sweet, smoky, luscious and complex grape worth seeking out.
