Carignan, (also know as Mazuelo in Spain) is a red grape which, due to climate change, is becoming increasingly fashionable because of its ability to grow well in warmer climates. It’s really fruit-forward and packs some fantastic warm baking spice notes. Due to its all-round balanced flavour profile, it’s often termed “the perfect food wine”.
