One of Greece's most popular grapes, Agiorgitiko makes fragrant medium-full bodied red wines and also lighter rosés. Agiorgitiko means "St George's Grape", and is named for a chapel near Nemea. It is also one of Greece's oldest grape varieties, and has been historically associated Hercules, with Agiorgitiko wine often termed "Blood of Hercules".
