Xavier, Côte-du-Rhône 2018

Xavier Vignon is a consultant winemaker who has been working at some of the top Chateaux across the Rhône Valley, including Chateauneuf-du-Pape, for over 20 years. Considered a "Master Blender", he now sources the best grapes from across the region and produces wine under his own label, which we're really quite happy about. Côte-du-Rhône 2018 is a blend of 60% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre and 15% Syrah - a classic "GSM" blend. Medium to full-bodied, with excellent ripeness and concentration, this Côtes du Rhône boasts assertive blueberry and blackberry fruit along with some nuanced flavours of earth and leather. It's a bolder style for the region, with masses of bang for your buck. Pair with rich, meaty dishes.
