Weingut Frey, Pinot Blanc 2022

Into the 4th generation of family ownership, Weingut Frey is a staple name in Rheinhessen, west Germany. Brothers Phillip & Christopher now head up operations at the winery, where they have brought all their farming practices in the vineyard up to EU-certified organic status. Pinot Blanc (“Weisser Burgunder” in German) 2022, has very clear notes of ripe apricot and honeydew melon. A creamy texture with a soft, rounded, and slightly smokey finish brings plenty of depth & breadth for this grape to shine. It’s a cracker to pair with richer fish dishes as well as soft cheeses.
