Tim Wildman, Piggy Pop Pet-Nat 2022

Tim is a British born MW who runs his own independent portfolio wine business. He became a Master of Wine in 2008 writing his Dissertation on Australian wine, and in 2010 he established James Busby Travel to take wine trade professionals on educational tours of Australia. He started his own project in 2014 with his Astro Bunny & Piggy Pop labels, and was very much a pioneer of the pétillant naturel style in Australia. Piggy Pop Pet-Nat 2022 is made from a blend of some of the Mediterranean's best grapes: Nero D'Avola, Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria), Mataro (Mourvedre), Lagrein and Arneis. A soft explosion of cherries and liquorice spice, plus a zesty lick of natural acidity that is typical of Nero d’Avola, with a plummy, fruit driven finish from the Arneis. Quite the versatile wine, works with charcuterie, pizza, or even dark chocolate.
