Tenute Orestiadi, Frappato 2019

Recently formed in 2008, Tenute Orestiadi are already making a name for themselves as makers of delicious, unique and authentically Sicilian wines. The vineyards are located on carefully chosen sites on the hills surrounding the Belìce Valley on the western tip of the island, where they benefit from everything the Mediterranean climate has to offer. Frappato 2019 is bright red in colour, with perfumed notes of rose petal, violet and ripe cherries on the nose; this leads onto a juicy palate packed with blueberry, red-currant and a little clove on the finish. A very pretty Sicilian red and a really great pair with grilled lamb dishes and fresh pastas.
