Located in the heart of Douro Valley, in Santa Marta de Penaguião, Quinta da Gaivosa has 25 ha of vineyards. Using a holistic approach to making great wines by combining nature, a shared history and the personal touch of the Alves de Sousa family, who have worked on Quinta da Gaivosa wines and vineyards for 5 generations. Their 10 Year Tawny Port is a superbly well-balanced wine. Capturing the fresh fruit notes of black plum and blackberry, along with those flavours more associated with aged Ports: walnut, caramel, raisin and oak; it's pleasantly lighter than expected on the palate and an awesome pair with your next cheeseboard.
