Perdriel, Malbec 2022

Flag of Argentina

In 1885, the Buenos Aires to Mendoza railway opened, cementing the significance of this emerging winegrowing region high in the Andean foothills. Ten years later, Edmund Norton planted the first vines in Mendoza's Luján de Cuyo district, amazing terroir at 1100m above sea level and began making wine; which grew into the legacy of one of Argentina's premier wine-producing families. Perdriel Malbec 2022 is taken from plantings at 950m above sea level, from 50-year old vines. The grapes for Perdriel are hand-harvested, and hand-selected, meaning only the very best berries make it into the wine. Aged for 12 months in oak. A gorgeously intense Malbec with notes of blueberry, violet, spice and tobacco with a concentrated & long finish. Amazing value and one of our recent favourites.
