Noelia Ricci, Bro Blanco 2018

Noelia Ricci is named for the woman who proudly restored her family's estate & vineyards in Emilia-Romaga, northern Italy, after they utterly destroyed during WW2. Now into its 4th generation of family ownership, there is a real focus of honouring the past whilst keeping a contemporary approach to their wines. Bro Bianco 2019 is made using 100% Trebbiano grapes. It opens with elegant notes of lemon zest and grapefruit pith, which gives way to very mineral notes and a saline backbone on the palate. A very bright level of acidity makes the wine unbelievably refreshing - it's like having a glass of fresh sea air; a great wine to pair with all kinds of fish or creamy sauces.
