Navajas, Rioja Gran Reserva 2011

Bodegas Navajas have been producing exceptional, passion-driven wines in the heart of Rioja since 1915. Their Gran Reserva 2011 is a blend of 85% Tempranillo and 15% Graciano; aged for 2 years in French oak and now 9 years in bottle, it is a beautifully mature red. Ruby in colour, notes of ripe red fruit, liquorice oak wood. , balsamic, cinnamon and pepper jump out of the glass. The palate is round and silky, with well-integrated tannins and a warming, velvety long finish.
