Moschopolis, Aiora 2020

Flag of Greece

Moschopolis was created by Dr. Georgiou Germanis, a renowned Greek chemical soil scientist, who wanted to follow his passion of winemaking in his homeland of Thessaloniki. Having a scientific view to producing wine has garnered Moschopolis with a reputation for making truly refined, exacting wines with real precision. Aiora 2020 is named after the annual Greek festival of wine, honouring the god Dionysus for a succesful harvest. Made from a blend of 40% Syrah, 30% Mavrotragano and 30% Xinomavro; the grapes were harvested and aged in clay amphorae for 6 months prior to bottling. A highly perfumed, fruit-forward nose with flavours of sour cherry, wild berries, plum, blackcurrant, and pepper moves to a silky palate with well-integrated tannins and a long finish.
