Metic, Merlot 2022

Metic is the talented duo of Luca Hodgkinson and Jose Miguel Sotomayor, based in the increasingly interesting and forward-thinking Colchagua Valley in central Chile. Luca consults for many wineries in Chile and has his own business sourcing grapes from sustainable and in many cases organic vineyards. Made with 100% biodynamically farmed Merlot, it is medium purple with magenta rim; plush nose of black cherry and berry druit, bell pepper and cut grass. Medium bodied, with a juicy dark berry fruit-driven palate and savoury herbal edge. Easy-drinking and well-balanced wine to match roasts or a BBQ.
