La Tasca, Regaleali Rosso 2022

Located in the rolling hills of central Sicily, La Tasca has been a stalwart of Sicilian winemaking for the past 200 years. Tenuta Regaleali, the mother estate, started with an aim to enhance the profile of native Sicilian grape varieties and appellations; the estate is now one of the most famous in Sicily and spans 550ha. Regaleali Rosso 2022 is a true nod to what Sicily does better than anyone else: Nero d'Avola. Now into its 67th vintage; the grapes were harvested and aged in a mixture of large Slovenian oak barrels and stainless steel for 10 months prior to bottling. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant and vanilla. The palate is smooth and soft, with a balanced acidity carrying the fruity finish.
