La Mascara, Malbec 2022

La Mascara is a project founded by the Barbarians Co-operative, a group of independent family wineries, specialising in high quality wines from Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, in Mendoza, Argentina. They share a passion for wine and pursue perfection with their own imprint, personality, and style transmitted in the wines. Malbec 2022 is taken from grapes at 1400m above sea level in the appellation of Gualtallary in the Uco Valley. The grapes were harvested and then fermented and aged in concrete prior to release. It has an intense ruby colour with violet hues, offering floral and fresh-fruit aromas of strawberry and blackberry. On the palate, it is pleasantly engaging with balanced acidity, ripe tannins, and a magnificently fruity character.
