Kooyong, Clonale Chardonnay 2022

Established in 1995, Kooyong is situated on the cool, ocean-influenced Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. The vineyards were acquired by Giorgio and Dianne Gjergja in 2004, and all wines are now crafted at their state-of-the-art, eco-friendly winery at Port Phillip Estate. Kooyong focuses on expressing terroir through meticulous vineyard management and minimal intervention winemaking. Aromatically pure and airy, the nose delivers notes of lime, green apple, and white peach, along with some subtle smoky reduction. The palate offers flavours of grapefruit and nectarine combined with a lovely texture that pushes towards a pithy, salty finish. ​Think Chablis with an Aussie twist.
