Jauma, Fujisan Pet-Nat 2022

Flag of Australia

Jauma was founded in 2010 by James Erskine, a real name in Australia's hospo and wine industry. Taking his knowledge as an award-winning sommelier into wine production, Jauma focuses on minimal-intervention, biodynamic practices and just making downright joyful South Australian wine. Fujisan 2022 is a "Pet-Nat" wines, meaning it's a naturally, gently, dry sparkling wine. Named after the famous Mt Fuji in Japan, this Pet Nat is as bright, zippy and alive as you could ever imagine. The Chenin Blanc fruit is taken from the Lulu's block in Blewitt Springs, grown atop sandy soils. The wine bursts on the palate as an explosion of citrus, apples and pears with hits of minerality and herbs to be found in its wake. Ethereal and light, this has to be one of our favourite expressions of Pet Nat out there at the moment. Natty wine fans, get amongst it.
