Henri Bourgeois, Sancerre La Vigne Blanche 2022

Flag of France

The Henri Bourgeois estate has been in the same family for over 10 generations, and they still work with the same ethos and drive for quality and wines which speak of the inimitable terroir of Sancerre. Experts at all things Sauvignon Blanc, Henri Bourgeois is rightfully acclaimed one of the region's top producers. Sancerre La Vigne Blanche 2022 is made using 100% Sauvignon Blanc taken from vines separating the village of Chavignol from Sancerre, getting the best of both clay and limestone chalk soils. Oak aged in barrel for five months on the fine lees, La Vigne Blanche is fresh and steely with herbaceous notes of elderflower and ivy as well as a hint of kiwi. The bright acidity of the Sauvignon makes this a great pair with all kinds of seafood and shellfish.
