Hasher Family Wines, Marimist Chardonnay 2020

As an entirely family-owned and run business, Frederik and Céline Hasher oversee all operations whilst living on the farm. Their three young children, Ernest (8), Héloise (7) and Emile (5) enjoy a childhood closer to nature and partake in pastimes like frog hunting and game spotting – always accompanied by their ever loyal and enthusiastic dog, Rafiki. Marimist (maritime-mist) Chardonnay 2020 is named for the mist that enters the valley floor in the evening and exits early in the morning is a typical feature of the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Delicate and refined with notes of lime, citrus blossom, and peach. The light oak enables the wine to be a true reflection of its terroir, showing off its texture and pure salinity. Sophisticated in style yet very versatile.
