Godeval, Godello 2021

With a winery partly housed in the Monastery de Xagoaza (which features on the label) in Valderorras, northern Spain, the winemakers of Godeval hold an almost spiritual belief in producing exceptional Godello. The 2021 vintage has intense but generous aromas of ripe pear with touches of lemon and elderflower, giving way to incredibly minerally-fresh, slightly-salty-smooth flavours of lychee and honey. Supple, concentrated & elegant: this is a Spanish white well-worth discovering.
