Domaine du Vieux Pressoir, Saumur Brut NV

Established in 1892 and now into its 4th generation of winegrower, Domaine du Vieux Pressoir (meaning "old wine press") is a staple of France's Loire Valley. Specialising in what the Loire does best, they have become true experts at all things Chenin Blanc. Saumur Brut NV is a blend of 70% Chenin Blanc and 30% Chardonnay. It is an elegantly subtle sparkling wine; whilst the Chardonnay brings a depth of flavour and creamy grandiose, the Chenin Blanc imparts wonderful flavours of citrus zest, honey and fleshy pear. It has a long finish of peach and toasted brioche, and makes for a great aperitif.
