Domaine Melody, Friandise 2022

In 2010, friends Marc Romak, Marlène Durand and Denis Larviere joined forces to create Domaine Melody and showcase their 20ha of organic vineyards in the storied north Rhone region of Crozes-Hermitage. Domaine Melody is a winery combining tradition and modernity, working to offer elegant, fruity and structured wines, full of finesse and frankness. Friandise ("treat") 2022 is made from 100% Syrah, taken from the estate's younger, 15 year old, vines. The grapes were harvested and aged for 7 months in stainless steel prior to bottling to retain freshness in the wine. A nose of redcurrant, cherry, blackberry and pepper moves to a smooth palate, balanced palate with further fruity-spicy flavours on the long finish. A great pair with lamb.
