Chateau du Cedre, Heritage du Cedre 2018

Three generations of family winemakers have tended the vineyards of Chateau du Cedre, which lie in the Cahors region of the south of France. Cahors is in fact the biological home of the Malbec grape, where it's been cultivated for centuries. Heritage du Cedre 2018 is a superb expression of French Malbec; brooding dark berry & violet is abundant on the nose, although it's pleasantly softened by the 5% Merlot which make up this blend, adding an excellent red plummy finish to the wine.
