Château Kirwan, K de Kirwan 2019

Flag of France

The charming wines of Third Growth Château Kirwan were started in 1760, when Irishman Mark Kirwan married the daughter of a prominent Bordeaux négociant. Now a staple of Margaux, Château Kirwan produces both a main wine of its namesake, and a second wine (made from the younger vines), K de Kirwan. Taken from the exceptional Marguax vintage of 2019, this K de Kirwan is a blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 13% Petit Verdot. A fruity wine dazzling with red berries and rose, along with soft warming spices cinnamon, vanilla, toasted nuts and even buttered brioche. With just a trace of tannins, this wine is thoroughly round and silky, each sip leaving you wanting more. Ready to drink now, or over the next 5 years.
