Cantine del Notaio, L'Atto 2022

Cantine del Notaio is a relatively new winery, located amidst the volcanic landscape of Mount Vulture. It was born in 1998 from the vision of Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti and his wife Marcella, who set out to restore the estate that once belonged to Gerardo’s grandfather. L'Atto 2022 is made with the grape Vulture does best: Aglianico. Situated at 450-600 metres above sea level, the vineyards are planted in the volcanic soil giving great minerality into the wine. The grapes were hand-harvested and aged for 6 months in French oak prior to release. Intense red fruit and spice aromas lead to a full, fruity palate; with rich cherry and blackberry, hints of spices and herbs; a supple structure and a long finish makes this a wine which will definitely leave you wanting more.
