Babylonstoren, Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Lying in the shadow of the Simonsburg and Du Toitskloof mountains of South Africa's Franschhoek Valley, the history of the sustainably farmed vineyards & orchards of Babylonstoren can be traced back to the 17th Century. Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is everything you want in a South African Cab: complex, full-bodied and a stellar fit for any celebration. Grapes are picked from eight different vineyard blocks and matured in a combination of 40% new and 60% second-use oak barrels for just under two years prior to release. On the nose there's a fusion of dark fruits, cherries and cassis flavours combining with a velvety texture on the palate which creates a soft, multi-layered wine with well-rounded tannins and a lingering finish.
