Silvaner is a white grape variety which grows very well in the mountainous regions of France, Austria and Germany; however, it’s an underrated grape which often plays second-fiddle to the more popular Riesling. Nevertheless, Silvaner is capable of producing well-rounded, mineral wines with touches of a herby-citrussy-smoky note.
