Pugnitello is an ancient grape variety native to Tuscany in northern Italy. Translating as “little fist” for its compact berry structure, Pugnitello is mainly used in (very) traditional Chianti Classico blends. It shares many characteristics with the famous Montepulciano grape, and similarly makes wines which are rich, soft and approachable.
