Petit Verdot

Petit Verdot is a red grape native to Bordeaux, France; but is now enjoying great success in the New World, mainly because it needs heaps of sunshine and dry weather to fully ripen. Petit Verdot wines tend to be an inky-lilac colour, and have a real taste of juicy plum, violet and black cherry.
