Perricone

Perricone is a red grape most commonly planted on the Italian island of Sicily. It is similar in taste and structure (although with no direct biological connection) to Barbera; that is, plenty of red fruit and herby/earthy notes. Perricone is often blended with other grapes, but is a cracker all by itself too.
