Although Bacchus was the Roman god of wine, the Bacchus grape was only created in the 1930s. It’s native to Pfalz, Germany; however, (due to climate change) some of its better offerings are now found in Britain. With notes of elderflower, grass and even some tropical fruit, Bacchus is best enjoyed young and even sparkling.
