Antão Vaz is a Portuguese white grape prized for its firm, full-bodied, well-structured wines. It has vibrant aromas of ripe tropical fruits along with honey, beeswax and an earthy quality too. The wines can have fairly high levels of alcohol and can also benefit from ageing to bring out more nuanced, smoky notes.
