La Mascara, White Blend 2024

La Mascara is a project founded by the Barbarians Co-operative, a group of independent family wineries, specialising in high quality wines from Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, in Mendoza, Argentina. They share a passion for wine and pursue perfection with their own imprint, personality, and style transmitted in the wines. White Blend 2024 is made from a combination of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Arneis, taken from plantings across Uruguay's River Plate region. Bright pale gold, it opens with a fragrant bouquet of crisp green apple, lemon zest, and delicate white flowers (think jasmine and acacia) with a subtle saline breeze bringing coastal freshness. A spine of racy acidity keeps it lively, finishing with lingering citrus pith and a whisper of sea‑spray minerality. Refreshing, elegant, and layered with tension.
