La La Land, Pinot Noir 2023

La La Land was established in 2013 in Mildura (in north-west Victoria), Australia. They started with a vision of breathing some fresh air into the often taken-too-seriously world of wine and put some fun back into winemaking. Their vibrant labels take inspo from Alice in Wonderland, and the wine inside the bottle certainly follows suit. Pinot Noir 2023 is taken from plantings which sit along the Murray River; perfect placement for producing excellent fruit. Seductive, silky and rich, this Pinot has heaps of raspberry, cherry, vanilla and a hint of rosemary on the nose. The palate is smooth and enveloping, with a good level of acidity carrying the fruity finish. A great pair with duck.
